base 20 | 20 inch bike

Our 7 year old absolutely loves this bike. It's super light weight and she's able to work the gears easily (she's new to gears!). The bike is great quality, and my 4 year old is desperate to have it when his sister gets too big in a few years time! Would recommend this bike whole-heartedly.

Great bike. I previously mail forwarded a woom bike from the US but price was too much now. This bike is essentially the same spec but shipped locally. Would highly recommend.

This bike is excellent. I was looking at a Woom and found this online. This bike is comparable in every regard to the European version . A great range of colours, we love it.

Purchased a 20 inch bike for my six-year-old son. He loves it. Very high-quality. The price was slightly more than the local bike shop for same size, but the quality is great. It is a much lighter product which is good for young children. I would highly recommend.
The process to purchase was easy. It arrived to my front door in regional NSW in about a week.

I bought this bike for my grandson who is turning 5 soon. He has been zipping about on a WOOM 14 inch bike - it has been wonderful but he has already outgrown it and is ready for more adventure. The shipping cost of WOOM has become ridiculous so I looked for something similar. I chose Base because the bikes are lightweight (relatively speaking), are designed around kids including a low stand over height, components that are kid sized and have dual handbrakes. Being Australian and with a low delivery cost is a big bonus. The bike arrived quickly, well assembled and adjusted. I’m looking forward seeing my grandson take off on it!

I bought this for my daughter who is not 4 until another 4 months so I was skeptical it would be too big. I had to remove the rear seat reflector to allow the seat to go down a little further. She has previously used balance bikes and a tricycle however never tried without the training wheels, she got it within 5 minutes. She is now confident and off like she has been riding for months. Just needs to master the take off. Thank you for making an amazing light bike! She wanted the green which was out of stock so I rang all the stockists nearby and found plenty :)

We are very happy with the 20” Base Bike in matte blue. In terms of quality, it is very similar to our beloved Woom bike that we had in Europe, which was exactly what we were hoping for. The bike feels well made, lightweight and perfectly designed for a child.

Our son absolutely loves it and has so much joy riding it, which is the most important thing for us. I really like the overall design and especially how light the bike is, making it easy for him to handle.

The delivery and communication were excellent and completely hassle-free. You can really see that the company cares about the details and the quality of their products, which I truly appreciate. We definitely do not regret investing in this bike and would highly recommend it.

Ordered 2x of the 20” bikes for the kids for Christmas and they’re just fantastic. The matte colours are stylish, the kids can hop on/off and manoeuvre the bikes themselves easily. We ordered the basket and kickstand for each as well. We love how easy it was to finish assembly and to take the pedals on & off. My 5yo has been on a toddler balance bike for a while now, so he picked up riding with the pedals within hours of getting his Base Bike! My 7yo is a nervous rider, but she has been loving getting on her Base Bike multiple times a day to get used to the balancing, she will be riding with pedals in no time! Highly recommend

Recently bought a 20 inch bike for my 5 year old. The ordering process was very smooth, I was kept up to date with delivery and the bike arrived in perfect condition with only 2 very simple steps required for assembly. Couldn’t be happier with the bike itself- it is super lightweight, beautiful colour and well built with high quality components. My 5yo absolutely loves it and handles it easily. Would 100% recommend buying a base bike!

We discovered Base bikes through a community bike riding session. My 5-year-old said he’d never ridden such an “amazing” bike. It was his first time using gears but they seemed really easy to change up and down. And my 3-year-old finally got the courage to try riding on two wheels, and is now confidently keeping up with his brother. Thanks Base bikes!

We are all very impressed with our Base 20 bike - it is lightweight with a geometry that means it can be ridden confidently by kids at the lower end of the size guide safely. The gear shifter is unobtrusive, so children can set it and go, or change while riding.

Our child stepped up to the 20in bike from a 14in bike they had been riding for a year, aged 4.5. The transition was smooth and now we can’t keep up with them on foot anymore!

This bike has everything you would want in a bike for a child, and it is certainly a proper bike and not a toy bike!

It was so easy to set up out of the box and required no adjusting at all. I would recommend this bike to anyone who wants a high quality bike that will last a long time and help their child develop their cycling skills.

We came across base bikes after a bike lesson with Lee-Anne at Ride-a-bike right. The bike was perfect for master 6, lightweight, stable and durable for a growing boy.

My son (5 1/2 years old) received the bike for Christmas and instantly felt confident and comfortable riding it (this has not always been our experience with other bikes). Proper brakes and gears, lightweight and really looks great. He has the best bike in the family!!

We found it hard to find a bike that would suit our child. These base bikes seem to have a slightly lower centre of gravity which seems to help with balance for little ones. We have watched our little one ride each day and improve with confidence & ability since we got this a week ago! Very satisfied!!

My daughter loves this bike! It’s really light weight and the ergonomics have obviously been designed for kids, it makes it so easy for her to ride. She’s so fast on it! The quality is well worth the investment.
