At base bikes, we are committed to providing high-quality children's bikes that are built to last. We stand by our bikes and if you have any questions or concerns please reach out.
General Warranty Information
1. Frame and Fork WarrantyFive year warranty: All base bikes frames and rigid forks are covered by a five year warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
2. Components and Parts WarrantyTwo year warranty: All other components and parts (excluding wear and tear items) are covered by a two year warranty from the date of purchase. This includes handlebars, seat posts, cranks, and other non-wearable parts.
3. Wear and Tear ItemsWear and tear items such as tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables, and chains are not covered under the warranty. These parts are subject to regular maintenance and replacement due to normal use.
Warranty Conditions
1. Proof of PurchaseTo help us process your warranty claim quickly, please have your proof of purchase ready. This can be a receipt or invoice from our official website.
2. Non-Transferable WarrantyThe warranty is valid for the original owner only and is non-transferable.

We're here to help! If you believe your base bike has a defect covered by this warranty, please reach out to our customer service team at contact@basebikes.com.au. Provide detailed information about the issue, along with photographs if possible, and your proof of purchase. We'll typically respond within one to two business days and work with you to get your bike back in action.
2. Refund, Repair or Replacement
If the defect is covered and depending on the issue, we will provide a refund or repair or replace the defective part or bike. If an exact replacement is not available, we may provide a suitably similar product. We will also cover return or replacement shipping.
Exclusions
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
- Misuse or abuse, such as jumping, stunt riding, or competitive events.
- Improper assembly or maintenance. Assembly and regular maintenance as per the bike's user manual is required to keep the warranty valid.
- Installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the bike as sold.
- Normal wear and tear, corrosion, cosmetic damage or accidents.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
