Introducing base bikes
We’re on a mission to create the best kids' bikes in Australia!
When my oldest was ready for his first pedal bike, I wanted something he would find easy to learn and easy to handle, so that he would love to ride!
Frustratingly, the bikes I really wanted for him—lightweight, no coaster brakes, and kid-friendly geometry—were only available overseas.
I couldn't justify the shipping, or the risk of extra fees on import. So, I compromised and bought a local bike. It was ok, but it wasn't fantastic.
Australia needs the same quality bikes as our overseas counterparts. And so, base bikes was born.
We are Australian owned and operated, we love bikes, and we hope your family get out and ride more because of base bikes.
