Riding a bike already asks a lot of a child — balancing, steering, pedalling, starting and stopping. A bike that's lighter, lower, properly sized for small bodies, and built with quality components makes each of those things easier.

LIGHTWEIGHT — EASIER TO START, STOP & CONTROL
base bikes are among the lightest kids bikes in the world, with our 16 inch bike weighing just 6.7 kg.
A lighter bike is easier to get on, get off and ride. This helps kids feel confident, safe, and in control. It's also easier for parents to carry!
KID CENTRIC DESIGN — EASIER TO START, BALANCE & KEEP GOING
A low centre of gravity and longer wheelbase improve stability, making the bike easier to balance and control.
A narrow Q-factor — the distance between the pedals — and shorter cranks make it easier for smaller legs to get started and pedal efficiently.
TWO HAND BRAKES (NO PEDAL BRAKE) — EFFECTIVE STOPPING
Pedal (coaster) brakes prevent riders from back pedalling to balance and make it difficult to position the pedals in the "start" position.
Instead, our kids bikes are equipped with kid-sized, easy to reach and easy to pull, front and rear hand brakes, encouraging two-handed braking from the start. Combined with small diameter grips, everything just feels easier.
QUALITY COMPONENTS — PERFORMANCE RIDE AFTER RIDE
base bikes use high-quality components from trusted brands, including Pro-Wheel cranks, KMC chains, Tektro brakes and Kenda tyres.
Quality components, combined with thoughtful details such as lock-on grips, pre-stretched cables and stainless steel spokes, mean the bike can perform ride after ride, be readily maintained and be passed on to siblings or resold.
And then they take off.
For many families, the move from a balance bike to pedals feels like a big step. A bike that fits properly and is easy to control can make that transition feel much smaller.
